Uttarakhand Gramin Bank (UGB) is a Regional Rural Bank (RRB) established on November 1, 2012 under the RRBs Act, 1976, through the merger of the Uttaranchal Gramin Bank and Nainital Almora Kshetriya Gramin Bank. It is sponsored by State Bank of India with share contributions from the Central Government, the Government of Uttarakhand, and SBI. Headquartered in Dehradun, the bank operates across all 13 districts of Uttarakhand with a large network of rural, semi-urban, and urban branches. UGB offers basic banking services like savings/current accounts, deposits, loans and financial inclusion efforts tailored for rural customers. Its deposits are insured under the Deposit Insurance & Credit Guarantee Corporation (DICGC) scheme.
